Case Reviews

"I have been involved in leading a family campaign against what we consider to be a major injustice, in connection with a 1976 murder of my two second cousins in Pembrokeshire. The Police treated it as a murder-suicide due to the lack of, in their view, any evidence of third-party involvement. Our campaign was treated almost with contempt by the Police, who after I had offered a dozen reasons why it must be a double murder, commented that they could not reopen the case based on "myths and legends". What our campaign lacked was someone with authority to give weight to our campaign, and that person was Stephanie Davies. She studied the original Police and Coroner's Reports and produced a very comprehensive, independent report. She stated that, whilst 75% of the Police Report was very impressive, she had uncovered several "red flags" which convinced her that it was a double murder, and not a murder-suicide. Her independent report was so impressive that I sent it to the Police for their comments, and they are now taking the matter extremely seriously. As a result, I am hopeful that my second cousin will be exonerated, and that the Police will then look for the murderer."

"Stephanie helped me find and interpret an autopsy report into the deaths of two relatives over 40 years ago. I wouldn't have known where to begin without her advice and help. She told me how to apply for records, which forms to fill in, how to navigate bureaucracy, what the language meant. Throughout she was kindness personified. She is a brilliant professional forensic investigator and an excellent human being."

"I reached out to Stephanie for a second opinion after receiving my son’s toxicology and post-mortem reports. She took so much time and care to go through everything in detail, and the report she produced was incredibly thorough and insightful. Her support meant that when I attended the inquest, I felt much more prepared and confident in the questions I asked the coroner. Thanks to her expertise, I finally had the answers I needed to find closure. I am so grateful for the compassion, knowledge, and dedication she showed throughout such a difficult process. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking clarity and understanding in the most challenging of circumstances."

"I reached out to Stephanie for a little help interpreting autopsy and toxicology reports of an equivocal death. I was just hoping for an email with a couple of lines on the reports; however, what I received was a very detailed 9 page document explaining every part of the reports in great detail. I was completely blown away by the level of effort Stephanie went to in order to help me, and in her very little free time too. She is very knowledgeable and about her field of expertise and with her PhD as well as her job, Stephanie is always adding to that knowledge. You will always be in great hands with Stephanie.”

Lectures & Presentations

“I thought Steph was very knowledgeable and passionate about the topic. I found the part when she played the clip of the 999 call from the stable murder and went through ‘guilty indicators’ very interesting”

A Police Detective

“A morbid but absolutely fascinating talk from a very knowledgeable speaker. I think my favourite of all the presentations. A lot of knowledge to absorb which should guide thinking in future. I believe this could be a course in itself.”
